PROJECT:  Bureau of Mines Renovation – Building Commissioning

DESCRIPTION:  Qualifications Submittals for Commissioning Agent for Bureau of Mines Renovation.  The project will renovate the 16,817 gross square foot (GSF) Bureau of Mines building built in 1945. The renovation will correct building system deficiencies (fire suppression, HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and asbestos abatement.  ADA compliance as well as building code and State Energy Code issues will also be addressed. The original single-glazed windows will be replaced, exits reconfigured and insulation added to the thermal envelope. It is anticipated that LEED Silver certification will be pursued.

Presubmittal Meeting:  A Pre-submittal Meeting will be held Friday, July 7, 2017, @ 9:00am at Conference Room 301 of the Amin III Building at 2701 Sullivan Drive on the NC State University campus.  Attendance is not mandatory.

CLOSING DATE:  5:00 PM, Tuesday, July 25th

PROJECT BUDGET:  $6M total project budget for both construction and soft costs.
