Fuel Oil Tank Expansion – Centennial Campus- Request for General Contractor Prequalification Submittals

North Carolina State University is seeking qualification statements from general contractors for a mechanical infrastructure improvement project located on Centennial Campus. This project increases stand-by fuel volume via a new 37,500 gallon packaged, vertical steel fuel oil storage tank. Piping will tie into an existing pumping & control system. The fuel oil storage tank site will be graded in preparation for a containment dike and tank foundations. The Fuel oil dike will utilize a conventional soil supported foundation and be sized to accommodate placement of two tanks and spill volume of one full tank. The tanks will be supported on a thick concrete pad on grade. A qualification application document (3 copies) must be submitted by 5:00 PM, 9/20/18 to Damian Lallathin, project manager, at Administrative Services Building III, 2701 Sullivan Dr., Suite 331, NCSU, Campus Box 7520, Raleigh, NC 27695-7520.

To qualify, the contractor must have a general contractor’s license in the State of North Carolina as well as applicable bonding requirements.  The contractor must show comparable work experience, both in complexity and dollar value, and preferably in a University campus environment, to the scope of work outlined above.
