PROJECT SCOPE: Ricks Hall, built in 1921 will be renovated to improve inefficiently-configured office space on the second floor and a portion of the ground floor to accommodate a higher number of faculty and staff.  This renovation will demolish most of the existing 2nd floor spaces to provide new areas for the Department of Agricultural & Human Sciences.   The project will address deficient building systems including a new HVAC and fire protection systems on the 1st & 2nd floors.

Bids will be received for pre-qualified bidders for single prime bid contracts.

The State reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals.

An open public meeting will be held January 18, 2022 at 10:00 AM EST.  The meeting is to identify preferred brand alternates and their performance standards pertinent to this project. 

In accordance with GS133-3, Section 64. (C) and State Construction Office procedures the following preferred brand items are being considered as Alternates by the owner for this project: Schneider Electric Control System Extension by EST, Best 45H series mortise locks, Von Duprin 99 series exit device and LCN 4040XP closers. A copy of pertinent sections of the performance standards may be obtained by contacting the designer at the address or phone number noted above.
