Advertisement for Bids & Notice of Public Meeting for Proposed Alternate Bids for Preferred Products- Centennial Campus Utility Infrastructure: Fiber Optic Loop

Sealed proposals will be received by NC State University. Attention Melanie Butler, until 11:00 am on September 13, 2022, in Conference Room 301, Administrative Services III Building 2601 Wolf Village Way, Raleigh, NC 27695, and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read for the furnishing of labor, material, and equipment for the construction of:

The project constructs a SCADA fiber optic loop for the Centennial Campus medium voltage distribution loops to support a future self-healing grid. Four separate fiber loops, each consisting of a 12-strand single-mode fiber cable, will be installed in the existing underground duct bank and manholes following the existing 25kV circuit loops, totaling approximately 50,000 linear feet. New patch panels will be installed in existing “SCADA ready” pad-mounted switches on Centennial Campus to accommodate connection to fiber loops.

Bids will be received for single prime bid contracts.  All Proposals will be lump sum.

Notice of Public Meeting for Proposed Alternate Bids for Preferred Products: An open public meeting will be held on August 24, 2022, at 10:30 am in Room 301 of Administrative Services III Building at 2601 Wolf Village Way, Raleigh, NC 27695.  The meeting is to identify preferred brand alternates and their performance standards pertinent to this project.
