North Carolina State University is seeking qualification statements from electrical contractors for improvements to Bowen Residence Hall Fire Alarm System Replacement, located on Main Campus. The project scope includes the replacement of the existing fire alarm system with a new addressable fire alarm and voice evacuation system for this nine-story, 53,737 sf building, originally constructed in 1968. The existing fire alarm system will remain in service until the new system is installed, tested, and accepted, and it will then be removed.
To qualify, the contractor must have an electrical contractor’s license in the State of North Carolina as well as applicable bonding requirements. The contractor must show comparable work experience, both in complexity and dollar value and preferably in a university campus environment, to the scope of work outlined above.
To be considered, the contractor must obtain an application package from the NC State University Project Manager and submit a fully completed qualification document by 4:00 pm, 10/28/22, to Don Ferree, P. E., project manager, by email only to firstname.lastname@example.org. No hard copies will be accepted. Application packages will be available electronically after 9/26/22. Please contact the project manager via email (preferred) or phone to request a package or download it from the link below.
