North Carolina State University is seeking qualification statements from general contractors for improvements to the North & Central Campus – Domestic Water Line Replacement, located in NC State’s North & Central campus precincts. This multi-phased project replaces sections of 1950s and 1960s vintage failing domestic water lines across campus. The existing deteriorating water lines are made of asbestos cement or cast iron piping. The project shall improve campus resiliency in a fire event, improve campus water pressure, and save costs associated with the increased frequency of large campus water leaks in recent years.
To qualify, the contractor must have a general contractor’s license in the State of North Carolina as well as applicable bonding requirements. The contractor must show comparable work experience, both in complexity and dollar value and preferably in a university campus environment, to the scope of work outlined above.
To be considered, the contractor must obtain an application package from the NC State University Project Manager and submit a fully completed qualification document by 5:00 pm, March 13, 2023, to David Hammock, project manager, by email only to david_hammock@ncsu.edu. No hard copies will be accepted. Application packages will be available electronically after February 13, 2023.
