Project: Kilgore, Scott & Thomas Hall HVAC Renovations, NC State Project # 202320011

Description: Kilgore, Scott and Thomas Halls is a combined and phased HVAC and laboratory renovations project addressing multiple needs across NC State’s North Campus. The project will address deficient mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems and bring the buildings into compliance with the NC State Building codes and regulatory laboratory requirements.

Project Budget: The project is funded through design and pre-construction services. The total budget of $24.3M includes design, construction, and other project related costs.

Project Schedule: Expected date of completion – November 2025.

Pre-Submittal Meeting: A Pre-Submittal meeting will be held on June 25, 2024 at 3:30 PM in Conference Room 301 of the Admin III Building at 2601 Wolf Village Way on the NC State Unversity campus. Attendance is not mandatory, but is highly encouraged. Obtain parking permits from NCSU Transportation, located in Administrative Services I, at 2721 Sullivan Drive.

Submission Closing Date: 5:00 PM on August 9, 2024

Proposal Submittal
To ensure the selection process is as objective as possible, do not contact members of the Board of Trustees, or any university officials other than the project manager. Interested firms can participate in the process by submitting a proposal that addresses all the information requested by the Qualifications Questionnaire for CM at Risk. Please note that one (1) copies of the proposal are required to be emailed to the project manager; the length of the proposal should be limited to 40 pages total. This limitation does not include the Cover Sheet, Tabs or Financial Statements. In order to offer Construction Manager at Risk services in the response to this solicitation, the proposer must be licensed as a general contractor in the state of North Carolina.

North Carolina State University has an affirmative policy of fostering, promoting and conducting business with minority owned enterprises. Construction Managers are required to partner with a minority business enterprise to mentor as part of their management team.
