The ninth dormitory on campus, Berry Hall, was opened in 1939. It was named after Leslie Graham Berry who graduated from NC State in civil engineering. He also designed the first wind tunnel at Langley Field and patented the “Berry Method” of constructing reinforced concrete buildings.
