Academic Success Center at DH Hill – Construction Manager at Risk

North Carolina State University is accepting proposals for Construction Manager at Risk for the Academic Success Center in DH Hill Library project until 5:00 p.m. on May 23, 2017 in the office of Capital Project Management, Administrative Services Building III, 2701 Sullivan Drive, Suite 331, Campus Box 7520, Raleigh, N.C. 27695-7520.

The approximately 36,000 gross square foot (GSF) renovation involves the construction of an Academic Success Center and additional program and study area within DH Hill Library.  This is to be achieved through the conversion and renovation of two floors of existing bookstacks in the north and south wings, built respectively in 1972 and 1990.

The project will also include modifications to the existing systems and infrastructure associated with the change in use and to achieve compliance with current building code, State Energy Code and ADA requirements.  Asbestos containing materials have been identified and abatement may be needed.  The Library will remain occupied and in operation throughout the duration of construction.

Project budget of $9.3 million includes design, construction and other project related costs.

North Carolina State University has an affirmative policy of fostering, promoting and conducting business with minority owned enterprises. Minorities are encouraged to participate in the Construction Management at Risk Program.
