The project will demolish the 47,000 GSF east wing, and replace it with an addition of approximately 82,800 GSF.  Scope includes recreation, fitness and specialized activity space; classroom/multipurpose space; offices; and a functional training area.  The project will create one controlled access point for the complex, make the second floor of the existing gymnasium building accessible, and install a sprinkler system and replace alarm systems throughout the entire complex.

Package 1 Scopes of work include BP0100 General Trades, BP0226 Abatement & Selective Demolition, BP0240 Structural Demolition, BP0300 Concrete, BP0710 Waterproofing, BP1420 Elevators, BP2600 Electrical, BP3100 Sitework, BP3163 Aggregate Piers and BP3300 Site Utilities.  The Construction Manager and Owner reserve the right to add prequalified bidders. The Construction Manager and Owner reserve the right to reject any and all bids.  Bids will not be accepted from bidders that are not prequalified. No facsimile or email submissions are permitted.

Centennial Campus Utility Infrastructure Thermal Energy Storage- Request for General Contractor Prequalification Submittals

North Carolina State University is seeking qualification statements from general contractors for a mechanical infrastructure improvement project located on Centennial Campus. This project expands chilled water capacity with the addition of a stratified chilled water thermal energy storage tank (TES) located adjacent to the central utility plant. A qualification application document (3 copies) must be submitted by 5:00 PM, 5/10/18 to Damian Lallathin, project manager, at Administrative Services Building III, 2701 Sullivan Dr., Suite 331, NCSU, Campus Box 7520, Raleigh, NC 27695-7520.

To qualify, the contractor must have a general contractor’s license in the State of North Carolina as well as applicable bonding requirements.  The contractor must show comparable work experience, both in complexity and dollar value, and preferably in a University campus environment, to the scope of work outlined above. Broadcast Studio AV Integrator – Murphy Football Center- Request for AV Integrator Prequalification Submittals

North Carolina State University is seeking qualification statements from AV Integrators for improvements to the Media Production Studio, located in the Murphy Football Center, 4600 Trinity Road, Raleigh.  The project scope includes the production studio upfit, which includes installation of broadcast equipment, casework, etc. to support NC State’s role within the ACC Network.

To be considered, the contractor must obtain an application package from the NC State University Project Manager and submit a sealed, fully completed qualification document by 5:00pm, May 10, 2018, to Bill Davis, project manager, at Administrative Services Building III, 2701 Sullivan Dr., Suite 331, NCSU, Campus Box 7520, Raleigh, NC 27695-7520.  Application packages will be available electronically after April 16, 2018.  Please contact the project manager via email (preferred) or phone to request a package.  Three (3) hard copies of completed qualification packages must be submitted to the project manager.  Completed qualification packages will not be accepted electronically.

There are two Prequalification Meetings scheduled

A Pre-bid meeting will be held for all interested bidders on two occasions:

April 17, 2018 at 1:00pm, AND April 25, 2018 at 10:00am, both in Room 101 of Administrative Services III, 2701 Sullivan Drive, Raleigh, NC 27695. ATTENDANCE AT ONE OF THE PRE-BID MEETINGS IS MANDATORY. The meeting will address project specific questions and provide an opportunity for bidders to assess the project’s existing conditions.

DESIGN-BUILD PROJECT ADVERTISEMENT- Restoration of Memorial Belltower

North Carolina State University is accepting qualification submittals for design-build services associated with the project “Restoration of Memorial Belltower” until 5:00 p.m. on April 12th, 2018 in the office of Capital Project Management, Administrative Services Building III, 2701 Sullivan Drive, Suite 331, Campus Box 7520, Raleigh, N.C. 27695-7520.

This project will complete installation of a 55 bell carillon in conjunction with the repair, restoration and preservation of NC States iconic Memorial Belltower. Improvements will address tower accessibility and use restrictions to permit installation of the clavier in the tower and occupancy of the clockworks level to accommodate playing the carillon on site. The addition of interior vertical circulation will be provided for relative ease of navigation to the top of the tower. New mechanical and electrical systems will provide for conditioned space, lighting, new clock motor and controls. Site improvements will address deterioration of the concourse and plinth areas. Accessibility and recognition improvements to these areas will complement the historic importance and landmark presence of the Memorial Belltower.

A mandatory pre-submittal meeting will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on March 28th, 2018 in Room 101 of the Administrative Services III Building located at 2701 Sullivan Drive. Obtain parking permits from NCSU Transportation, located in Administrative Services Building I, at 2721 Sullivan Drive.

A qualifications submittal package for design-build services will be available March 20th, 2018 and available for download.
