When it opened in 2020, the College of Engineering’s newest facility marked a crucial step in the College’s move to Centennial Campus. Fitts-Woolard Hall is the new home of the Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering; the Edward P. Fitts Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering; and the dean’s administrative offices. The building was funded as a result of a unique public-private sponsorship, which included the support of Edward P. Fitts, Jr. and Edgar S. Woolard, Jr. and the commitment of over 300 alumni.

Fitts-Woolard Hall contains flexible and adaptable teaching and research labs, classrooms and offices. The building serves as a teaching tool, demonstrating sustainability and engineering components throughout its envelope, structure and control systems. Engineering is on display through its transparent labs and exposed building components.
