First purchased in 1912 for $15,000, this property became the Chancellor’s Residence once construction was completed in 1928. In 2011, the Chancellor moved into a new residence and the former residence opened as the Gregg Museum of Art & Design in 2017. The existing residence was renovated and 16,589 gross square feet added for museum galleries, administrative offices, meeting spaces and collections storage. In March 2018, the newly-constructed addition was certified LEED Gold for its leadership in energy and environmental design.
