Sealed proposals will be received by NC State University. Attention Mike Bell, until 3:00 pm on November 18, 2025, in Conference Room 301, Administrative Services III Building 2601 Wolf Village Way, Raleigh, NC 27695, and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read for the furnishing of labor, material, and equipment for the construction of:

This project will include Teaching Lab and Classroom Renovations Engineering Building II and III, located on Centennial Campus. The project scope includes renovation and relocation of Teaching Labs from the first to the second floor, improving space efficiencies combination of existing teaching spaces into a larger teaching lab, and creating an interdisciplinary Robotics Class Lab, as well as modifications to an existing classroom in EBIII. The renovations will include new carpet, wall finishes, and lighting, with slight modifications to the HVAC system (reduction of controllers, moving registers) – as well as the installation of a support structure for a motion capture system in the repurposed conference space, which will become a drone test lab.

Bids will be received for single prime bid contracts.  All Proposals will be lump sum.

PRE-BID MEETING

A Pre-bid meeting is mandatory and will be held for all interested bidders on October 21, 2025, at 3:00 pm in Room 3002 of Engineering Building II at 890 Oval Drive, Raleigh, NC 27606. The meeting will address project-specific questions, and a follow-up site visit will be held to explore the remaining project areas on October 24th at 3:00 pm to accommodate class scheduling.

When: October 21, 2025, at 2:45 pm Eastern Time

An open public meeting will be held on October 21, 2025, at 2:45 p.m. in Room 3002 of Engineering Building II at 890 Oval Drive, Raleigh, NC 27606. The meeting is to identify preferred brand alternates and their performance standards pertinent to this project. 

In accordance with GS133-3, Section 64. (C) and State Construction Office procedures, the following preferred brand items are being considered as Alternates by the owner for this project:

Manual Roller Shades

Vision Control Film
