Campus Signage Standards

SIGN SCHEDULE AND KEY LOCATION PLAN
Architects and Designers are to use the Signage Schedule to produce sign schedules and a key location plan for all interior signage lists and construction documents.
COMMEMORATIVE SIGNAGE
There are four types of namings (donor, sponsorship, honorific and leased spaces). All signs that name a facility or program after a person or a non-NC State related company, foundation or organization, must be approved before purchasing by Campus Planning and University Advancement (This does not apply to leased spaces). Please complete the Naming Signage Approval Request Form to gain approval to purchase and install a sign. Please also use this form to request a vendor. Outside vendors can be used; however, the vendor must be an NC State approved vendor. Please submit any questions to [email protected].
ARCHIVE
The long-term objective is to systematically transition all campus signage to the 2026 standard. Signage that classifies under a formal/informal/in-house project, renovation, relocation, suite upgrade will receive the 2026 new standard. If there is a one-off signage request for a discrepancy, we will match existing to what is on the floor and/or building.
