Winston Hall HVAC Renovations- Request for General Contractor Prequalification Submittals

North Carolina State University is seeking qualification statements from general contractors for the Winston Hall HVAC Renovations project. The contractor shall remove the existing cooling only air handlers, shut-off VAV boxes, baseboard radiant heaters, pneumatic controls, steam to hot water converter, hot water pump, and all associated piping, piping specialties, duct work, conduit, and conductors as well as any ancillary ceiling or wall systems to facilitate the system demolition.  Contractor shall provide and install new heating and cooling air handlers, reheat VAV boxes, steam to hot water converter, hot water pump, building automation system, connection to the campus automation system and all associated piping, piping specialties, duct work, conduit and conductors as well as repair and/or replacement of any ancillary ceiling or wall systems to provide a fully functioning HVAC system and return the building to a condition matching or exceeding the condition of the building prior to the start of work.  Work is to be bid and completed in two phases with completion anticipated in two consecutive summers.

To be considered, the contractor must obtain an application package from the NC State University Project Manager and submit a sealed, fully completed qualification document by 5:00 PM, August 13, 2015, to Steven R. Bostian, project manager, at Administrative Services Building III, 2701 Sullivan Dr., Suite 331, NCSU, Campus Box 7520, Raleigh, NC 27695-7520.  Application packages will be available electronically on or after July 20, 2015.  Please contact the project manager via email (preferred) or phone to request a package.  One (1) hard copy of the completed qualification packages must be submitted to the project manager.  Completed qualification packages will not be accepted electronically.

Centennial Campus Thermal Utilities and Infrastructure – Chilled Water to Center for Technology and Innovation- Advertisements for Bids

Sealed proposals will be received until 3:00 PM on August 18, 2015 in conference room 301, Administrative Services III Building 2701 Sullivan Drive, Raleigh, NC 27695 and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read for the furnishing of labor, material and equipment for the construction of:

The project will install approximately 180 Linear Feet total of 30-inch diameter DIP chilled water supply and return pipes under the pavement at Research Drive and Main Campus Drive, approximately 108 Linear Feet total of 10-inch diameter DIP chilled water supply and return piping under Research Drive into the CTI building mechanical room, two 10-inch diameter gate valves, two 30-inch diameter gate valves, approximately 285 Linear Feet total of electrical ductbank containing four 6-inch diameter conduits and two 2-inch diameter conduits and a concrete pad for a switch.

Bids will be received for single prime bid contracts.  All Proposals will be lump sum. The following General Contractors have been pre-qualified to bid this job

Complete plans and specifications for this project can also be obtained from RMF Engineering at 919-941-9876 beginning on July 20, 2015 for a deposit of one hundred dollars ($100.00). The full plan deposit will be returned to those bidders provided all documents are returned in good, usable condition within ten (10) days after the bid date. Full or partial sets of plans and specifications can be purchased at ARC Document Solutions 951 Aviation Parkway Suite 700 Morrisville, NC 27650, 919-388-9900. Partial sets shall be purchased at contractor’s expense and will not be refunded.  The State reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals. The plan deposit will be refunded to all bidders and non-bidders, provided the plans are returned bound, in order, and in good condition no later than 10 days following the bid date.

Pre-Bid Meeting

 A public pre-bid meeting will be held for all interested bidders at 2:00 PM on July 28, 2015 in room 301 of Administrative Services III Building at 2701 Sullivan Drive, Raleigh, NC 27695.  The meeting will address project specific questions.

Greek Village Phase 2 Infrastructure- Request for General Contractor Prequalification Submittals

North Carolina State University is seeking qualification statements from general contractors for the Greek Village Phase 2 Infrastructure project, located at Dan Allen Drive and Fraternity Court, Raleigh, NC 27695.  Project includes new roadways, sitework/grading, building pads, stormwater treatment basins, pedestrian walkways and utility infrastructure.

To be considered, the contractor must obtain an application form from the NC State University Project Manager and submit a sealed, fully completed qualification document by 5:00pm, July 27, 2015, to Mike Kapp at Administrative Services Building III, 2701 Sullivan Dr., Suite 331, NCSU, Campus Box 7520, Raleigh, NC 27695-7520.  Application forms will be available electronically on July 6, 2015.  Please contact the project manager via email to request a package.  Three (3) hard copies of completed qualification packages must be submitted to the project manager.  Completed qualification packages will not be accepted electronically.
