The purpose of the Enterprise Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Steering Committee is to ensure the university makes the best possible decisions in advancing the use of enterprise GIS to meet its missions and goals related to business operations. The committee also ensures that changes, new directions, and planning are done in a coordinated and collaborative fashion. The committee considers all matters brought to it by the Enterprise GIS Champions Working Group.
- Responsible for recommending, advising, and providing input to the Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration on GIS policy and principles, investments, and enterprise GIS application activities
- The committee will meet on an annual basis and will hold special meetings as needed
