Request for General Contractor Prequalification Submittals- COE Growth – Phases Renovations- 1st Floor Research Building IV

NC State University is seeking qualification statements from general contractors for improvements to COE Growth – Phased Renovations -1st Floor Research Building IV. This project will renovate approximately 22,500 GSF of existing space on the first floor of Research Building IV in the Centennial Campus precinct. The renovations will improve space efficiencies and create engineering program-specific space to support college growth. The scope of design services includes but is not limited to, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and telecommunications. The Project will be completed in two phases. The building is occupied by private tenants on the upper floors and construction disruptions will need to be mitigated.

To qualify, the contractor must have a general contractor’s license in the State of North Carolina as well as applicable bonding requirements.  The contractor must show comparable work experience, both in complexity and dollar value, and preferably in a university campus environment, to the scope of work outlined above.

To be considered, the contractor must obtain an application package from the NC State University Project Manager and submit a fully completed qualification document by 5:00 pm, April 30, 2025, to Michele Maxwell, project manager, by email only to DC_Formal_Prequal@ncsu.eduNo hard copies will be accepted.  Application packages will be available electronically after March 31, 2025.  Please contact the project manager via email (preferred) or phone to request a package or download it below:
